The Big Give

St.  John Bosco

It’s time again for #BigGive2017. St. John Bosco is participating and we need your help. The Big Give allows donors to give to their favorite 501(c)(3) organization (SJB) on Big Give Day–May 4th from midnight to midnight. However, this year anyone can donate early; there is no need to wait until May 4th!
Our school goal is $5,000. All the funds we raise will go towards emergency tuition assistance. These funds are used for current families who find themselves in extreme, but temporary, financial difficulties during the school year. If it is within your means, please consider donating, no matter the amount. Even a few dollars per family can make a difference when everyone participates. We are also encouraging everyone to get their relatives and friends involved. This is an online fundraiser, so donors do not have to even be in San Antonio to participate!
Students who raise $25.00 (per family) will be allowed free dress from May 8-11th (May 12th is a day of liturgy). The class with the highest percentage will also receive an ice cream party, one extra recess, and their teacher will receive a $100 Visa gift card. The individual boy and girl who raises the most money will be recognized at morning assembly and receive a special gift.

St. John Bosco School creates a school culture of high quality teaching and learning with the advantages of a faith-filled environment, low student-teacher ratios and an excellent curriculum with the support of advanced technology in instruction and learning.  We believe that the years spent in elementary school are a time of great responsiveness and vulnerability.  Our educating community takes advantage of every innovation to form our students with long-lasting behavior patterns that will follow them throughout their education with life-long significance.   SJB meets the challenge of helping to provide the building blocks that prepare them for life.  In the spirit of St. John Bosco, our close-knit relationships based on reason, religion and loving kindness go a long way in forming “honest citizens and good Christians”.
